Happy Wednesday and happy first blog post to me! How exciting is this?! 🤩

I’m Vanessa and you can get to know a little more about me here.

This is the first time I’ve started a blog with a clear direction in mind – I mean, my Tumblr days were very “youthful” and full of teenage quotes on love and life (wow, I had so much to learn back then).

Although I started up this site as part of an assessment item for Digital Marketing, I do like the idea of keeping it up and running for my freelancing services in social media. I saw a passion in this idea at my very first internship at Ivy Social (which I could go on about!), so I figured I’d just go for it. 🙊

I’d like to share my thoughts, opinions and experiences throughout my time at uni, and within the industry. I do think it’s important to “keep it real” (as some influencers may say, and I’m not an influencer by any means), so we could dive into the personal stuff every now and then. I would also love to improve my writing skills, as it’s an important aspect of digital marketing in regards to copywriting.

As for the unit, Digital Marketing, I would love to grasp the theoretical aspects of it and be able to apply it to real-life situations. I do believe that I may already know some things due to my internship experience, but I definitely don’t know everything, and am even more eager to learn and enhance my knowledge within the industry.

So, in the upcoming weeks, I’ll be posting content that is predominantly relevant to my degree, but will still be applicable to the foundation of my blog nonetheless – stay tuned!
